Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies www.northlight.me uses, what they are for and how you can manage them. To learn how we process personal data, read our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. The site can also use browser local storage (localStorage), which works in a similar way, so this policy covers it too.
Necessary cookies are required for the site to work and do not need consent. Optional cookies, such as analytics or advertising cookies, may only be used with your consent. Cookies set by our site are first-party cookies; cookies set by other services, such as Google, are third-party cookies.
2. Cookies set by our site
The site uses necessary cookies only:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| SSGSID | Keeps the technical session of your visit, such as the selected language. | Until you close the browser |
| cc_cookie | Remembers your cookie choice, so we do not ask you on every visit. | 6 months |
We currently do not use analytics or marketing cookies. If we introduce them, they will be activated only after you allow them, and this policy will be updated.
3. Browser storage
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| northlight_ | Your “Favourites” list: the products you saved. | Until you delete it |
| nl:listing-view | The product list layout you chose: grid, list or table. | Until you delete it |
This data stays on your device and contains no information about you.
4. Third-party cookies
- Google Maps (Contact and About us pages): when the map loads, Google may set its own cookies, for example for security and to remember map settings.
- YouTube: videos load only when you start them, in privacy-enhanced mode. Once a video starts, YouTube may store data in your browser.
These cookies are set and controlled by Google, not by us. Learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
5. How to manage cookies
On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you choose which optional cookies to accept. You can change your choice at any time: open cookie settings.
You can also view, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the site may not work properly. Clearing site data in your browser also deletes your “Favourites” list.
6. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
